new boy 2
Dear sir/madam. My name is Ray Finch. I am a successful and very respectful retired 53-year-old businessman and as a hobby I am a very keen, competent shooter, I have been shooting for quite some time now and have used a lot of different guns. I will shoot any pests i.e. rabbits, crows, pigeons ect. I AM FULLY INSURED WITH BRITISH ASSOCIATION FOR SHOOTING AND CONSERVATION (BASC) AND HAVE FULLY UP TO DATE CERTIFICATE TO SHOW. I live in Epsom, Surrey. I would like to take this opportunity to ask for permission to shoot on your land to help control any vermin problems you may have. I will aim to help keep all vermin levels down as low as possible. It goes without saying that I will respect any property I shoot on and livestock, and fully respect all rules laid down and certainly leave no mess. In the event you would be interested, I use a state of the art .22 BSA R10 silenced air rifle with state of the art scope and a top of the range shotgun so depending on what I am shooting on your land, I will provide you with my valid up to date passport as proof as to who I am. I always notify the local police before hand when shooting on any land and provide them with full details Should you wish to ask any questions please do not hesitate to ask, Kind Regards Edited November 21, 2012 by new boy 2 Dont post personal details on an open forum. anser2
Ray while you might be lucky I think you have posted in the wrong forum. Most of the guys on here are shooters not landowners. I would try a farming forum , but nothing beats face to face talking with a farmer. Go out and try knocking on a few doors.

bakerboy
You might need to take your postcode out. This is an open forum and you do not want the silly people paying a visit to you or your neighbours Terry

fenboy
If you are lucky enough to find some pest control shooting I very much doubt if the farmer will give a hoot that your airgun is " state of the art" or your shotgun " top of the range ". Better to have a baikal and somewhere to shoot it. Good luck though.
stubby
good luck in your search, can I ask though, you say you have quite a few years shooting under your belt, yet back in june was asking if pigeon magnets were worth it, as though you was a newbie the style of writing is also different, Edited November 21, 2012 by stubby
The Essex Hunter
With Google Earth and listing the guns you have at your house by putting your post code is not on the top ten of security measures any Firearms Department would want to see! There is a golf course 3 km from your post code a good place to start your door knocking campaign….. TEH
