Drayman
Only your FLO can say but the only cricket grounds I've ever seen that have sufficient backstops are Lords, The Oval, Old Trafford ........ but they're a bit short of rabbits. One thing to watch for is .22 subsonics bounce off short grass over hard ground. I suspect you would stand more chance with an FAC air. Kes
Running dogs ? I thought hunting with dogs etc etc If I am correct,I suggest you avoid using the term "they're lamp shy for the running dogs" as a reason for requesting a .22 ! Possibly? Obviously it'll depend on the land. It'll be almost certain they'd want shots taken from a high seat though.

Dekers
I've seen .22lr approved on about 40 acres before. "a small cricket ground" 40 Acres If the cricket ground is the only land and the first application it may be tricky, but you will only find out if you try! bedwards1966
Without any idea of the location or backstops you might as well ask for the length of a piece of string. Any size land can be passed, it will be down to whether your FEO feels the land is safe to shoot on, and you'll only get that by getting them there to look. Seamus
I have .22lr and .223 cleared on 5.5 acres, with written permission to use the neighbouring field as a backstop (5.5 acres slopes down, neignbouring field slopes up).
