njc110381
I can't comment on the wife bit as we are not married, but my other half is fine with it. It's good to have some space sometimes, and if I'm happy, she is. Works both ways though. I went to a ballet show that one of her friends was in a while back, and it was my idea She is a vegi too, but a really strange one! For some reason quorn sausages taste better when they fry in my bacon fat, can't think why? She's fine with dead things, as long as there is a reason for shooting them. I keep trying to get her to eat some of it but every time she tries, she says it's too chewy. I can understand that, she was born a vegi so has never had to make the effort to chew something decent. Meat is hard work when compared to pasta and potatoes!
me and my lad
Lou loves coming along with me and our lad. if we have a day out shooting she will make a load of butties for us the down side is she's had a try herself and likes it and now because she bought me my gun for my birthday i have to buy her one although the chances of me finding a pink gun for her are pretty much zero, so my money is safe for now
Frank
As long as you don't take the **** then theres no reason you can't spend some time doing something for you. Markio, Thank you, I couldn't (and didn't) put it any better myself I think it helps if you have always done shooting, or anything else for that matter from the start, if you suddenly start going off and doing stuff it may come as more of a shock. It also relies on the partner being fairy independant and self sufficient as well. I used to go off to work abroad for 3 months at a time, so me being away for a few days isn't exactly a hardship in comparison Well said , prehaps thats whats going rong with my side of things then. Frank.

Spaniel
My MRS is quiet happy that I go Fishing and Shooting but I do get some evil looks some times. I dont tend to spend my nights down the pub and instead I spend my money on the fishing and shooting gear. To be honest i try not to take the micky to much, having 3 Kids etc , although starting 2 weeks time im going beating every saturday And then Sundays will be shooting or a bit of fishing Think it makes it easier as I go shooting with the father in law and fishing with the brother in law Spaniel

MC
I didn't think mine did, until I told her last night that I was shooting saturday and sunday this week. And then for some reason she has got the hump. Still I did promise to take her with me when I take the dog training on sunday afternoon. the last engineer
just had this sent to me by the "sister out law" quite right she is too :look: Subject: Guns vs Women The Top Ten Reasons Men Prefer Guns Over Women #10. You can trade an old 44 for a new 22. #9. You can keep one gun at home and have another for when you're on the road. #8. If you admire a friend's gun and tell him so, he will probably let you try it out a few times. #7. Your primary gun doesn't mind if you keep another gun for a backup. #6. Your gun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo. #5. A gun doesn't take up a lot of closet space. #4. Guns function normally every day of the month. #3. A gun doesn't ask , "Do these new grips make me look fat?" #2. A gun doesn't mind if you go to sleep after you use it. And the number one reason a gun is favored over a woman.... #1. Suffolk shooter
I know I joked earlier, but in all seriousness, my wife is great as Martin will tell you, Iam always trying to get out shooting or fishing or something. Every Thursday after work I go with some mates to Parkford, St Osyth and shoot clays and then go the pub with them after rolling in at ten or eleven (not too often). Then at the weekend I try and go on saturdays clay shooting with my Father and Grandfather-in-law or Martin or Wildfowling with Martin or pigeon shooting on her uncles field or something. I go fishing most friday/ saturday nights with my Brother-in-Law during winter and summer when tides are right for Bass and Cod. If I'm not shooting then normally I'm dragging her to one gunshop or another or a country show somewhere in East Anglia. I love her and my two girls 7yrs and 6 months to pieces, and she understands that I want to live my life to the full and supports me all the way. She has even been shooting/fishing with me and is safe in the knowledge that when I go out with my Gun or Rods, that I am not off getting drunk or messing around with other women. I cant wait until both my daughters are old enough to hold their own guns and we can all go out together.
