mickmep
one of the clubs i shoot at used to sell them. they were a dirty cartridge, personally didnt like them. they've changed to kents now which seem better for similar money. Savage10FP
They look real cheap and are and have a kick!!!!!!, Found Eley Firsts to be more dirty down the bore than claybusters. I use and LIKE claybusters . There about £140ish for a thou from Cheshire gun room. I get a few giggles from my mates when I arrive with them. But the giggles soon stop once I'm hitting those clays. gemini52
I used to buy them, first thing they kick to much for me and they do leave you with a dirty barrel then the price went up so binned them off like some one has said you wont go far wrong with eley firsts. TrapFiller
Just as good as any other cheap clay cartridge. I personally like due to the price and availability.
bunny_blaster
I don't use them now although I have in the past and they went off with some right strange noises. As for them being dirty, why does that matter? Surely you can spend a few minutes with a rod and brush and clean your barrels?!?! I don't understand why people moan about certain cartridges been dirty.
huffhuff
I used them a few times, but they were orange then (so maybe a different model). They were filthy dirty, kicked more than a horse and I had 2 jam past the ejector (due to poor quality components I guess). But hey, they were £3 a box. I always meant to check the pattern but never got around to it.

Its not just about leaving your barrels dirty, but what i found the unburnt powder got into all action leaving a right mess, there are plenty off cartriges about that are far better then claybusters. Savage10FP
Put 1500 claybuster through my cheap Hatsan B12 O/U, stripped it right down whilst I redo the stock. Can't say I've seen any unburnt powder in the action!!!!!

stuartyork
Hi, As a club, we bought 25000 of these rounds. Some guys liked them. Most indicated a large amount of felt recoil, also lots of debris and smoke. We also noted a high number of misfires. The general consensus is: We won't be buying them again.
