Thanks Nigel. It's a bog standard Beretta 682 Gold E that has had all of the factory laser chequering removed on both the stock and the forend, been re-chequered by hand, had the grip re-profiled and the stock and forend finished to the standard in the above pictures. How did you manage to get that grade of timber on a 682 gold e,it's better than on most EELL guns,well done. I bought the gun second hand a couple of years back and didn't even see it in person before buying it. I too read the article -well written, but to be honest, I don't have the level of patience that you have to wait for that period of time to get it sorted.
