Deiseboy
I miss my mossy Used love it... they could take some amount of abuse and it was cheap to give it a sand and respray when ever I wanted. I traded it in for a baikal o/u because Im a lefty and I found when woodcock shooting it was just that bit too slow getting the safety off. they were much lighter than the remmy 877 too. thepasty
I like the metal finish receiver....you know you can have more than one gun!?
Marki
what do you guys think of the hatsan pumps I've enjoyed mine. I've not had any problems with it since it was bedded in and fettled. I use some really cheap 28g Lyalvale carts and they work fine. I do get some tuts and 'looks' when I go clay shooting with it though. A few months ago I did a mid week mini shoot with it and got the highest score of 28 out of 30. You could see some of the other shooters were not happy at all. Marki
The biggest benefit for me was how easy it was to get the gun to fit. I'm left handed and left eye dominant but shoot right handed. I stuck a cheap laser bore sight in the gun and shimmed it until the bead lined up with the laser. None of the O/U I've used seem to allow me to do the same. This may just be to lack of experience or the fact that I only buy cheap guns!
thepasty
how on earth did you end up shooting righty when everything else is lefty?! I'm left eye and shoot righty which is bad enough.
neil smith
wrong For example, there are more plastic components within the express and metal components have been finished to a lower standard resulting in a rougher action BUT faster manufacturing times. I have compared them both & the only plastic is the mag follower in mine, the steel ones are poor anyway & rust like hell, so your better off with a replacement from scattergun technologies or choate. Your right about the tolerances & finish, it was that which made them more expensive to produce, but there is not much wrong with either of them really. Marki
how on earth did you end up shooting righty when everything else is lefty?! I'm left eye and shoot righty which is bad enough. Tell me about it! I put it down to shooting air rifles from an early age, scopes don't care about dominance and my dad showed me how to hold a gun. I have considered shooting lefty but then I risk being hit in the face by the ejected carts.
Deiseboy
I like the metal finish receiver....you know you can have more than one gun!? Got it blasted back to bare metal and polished to a dull finish at the ould fellas work. Im In the ROI and each licence is 80 for 3 years for each gun and security at home needs to be updated more and more once you go over 3 guns so Id to do a swap this time around or alarm my mothers house. Definitely will have one in the safe in a few years again when im done with university.
theshootist
Looks like I just picked up an M37 Featherweight in an auction! Section 2, so will go straight on the SGC. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it compares to the Browning BPS.

rhyspigeon67
I have had my SXP a few weeks now, and i love it. The action is incredibly smooth and has cycled everything with no jams or anything. The short LOP suits me fine as i am 14 and not very tall. I have took it clay's and pigeon shooting, has worked flawlessly. Only issue i am having is the magazine cap has stopped making a clicking sound when i undo it and it comes undone fairy easily. thepasty
good to hear sounds like the detent ball has come out of the cap, you might be able to get a replacement ball or you might need a new cap (unless the ball is on the gun side)
andy198712
Took out my wingmaster with new Knox recoil reducing stock yest and it feels different! The mount is not differant, I have to push the gun out further so it doesn't catch on my shoulder and it feels longer, alot longer! The lop is now good and it lines my eye up with the rib being nice and flat now. But think I need to chop the barrel as it feels gangly!! But I'd loose my 3/8ths choke..... andy198712
is there anyway to remove the follower from the mag tube on a 3 shot 870...? mine keeps jamming on the crimp... i say keeps, its happened twice, once when i tried to put 3 in the tube by mistake and then probably did the same thing again yesturday and it jammed again. its 79' gun i think and i think the follower is probably a bit worn, any ideas? failing that maybe making a spring guide enough to act as a stop for the follower? thepasty
I dont think you can on an 870 :(
andy198712
The mag tube seems fixed to the body and the crimp stops it coming out the other way.... Hmmmm
thepasty
i think its the case with most Section 2 shotguns, stops the mag tube being replaced with an extended tube.
