JohnGalway
When the sweet tooth really gets going then it's a bar of Cadburys milk chocolate for me! Not fancy I know but it brings back memories as well as tasting good

Dunkield
Purple Yorkie Bar, cold for some reason. But I like dark chocholate after a meal with coffee, we have been starved of proper stuff for years unlike them on the continent.
pin
Any 70%+ dark choc If I am doing "proper" chili I get the best I can find and shove a good helping in there, nothing to beat the dark rich flavour it brings. By proper I mean <5% fat pork meat 50/50 with good veal, chili
Ferret Master
Green and Blacks! I go through pounds of the stuff. In my opinion it's the only chocolate seriously worth eating. I believe the growers in poorer countries get a better price for it than what cadburys or nestle would pay them. FM

darebear
scaffy is the one to ask about chocolate. he'd live on that stuff if he could. i can take it or leave it. his favourites that spring to mind are nestles white chocolate dairy crunch, twix's, topics, dime bars (gonna have to get him that butterscotch stuff now.... cheers ), lion bars, fruit and nut (bet he reckons the fruit and nuts are his daily recommended 5 portions of healthy 'stuff' -rolls eyes-), snickers, m&m's (the peanut ones - healthy option again. pffft), munchies, and toberlone. i dont mind bounty's, but they seem to have done away with the red ones

pin
What was the difference between the red and the blue? Was it plain and milk choc? I can't remember. Whatever did happen to them? Hmm.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounty_(chocolate_bar) This lot still seem to sell the red! http://www.britsuperstore.com/acatalog/Bounty_Chocolate.html
pav
I am going to take this oppourtunity to plug my site www.sweetjunkie.com You guys who like Green and Blacks should seriously try Beech's Chocolates Nothing comes close! I can tell you that Beech's costs a lot more to buy that green and blacks from a trade point of view and you can only get it from confectioners - Green and Blacks is good don't get me wrong, but its just a posh version of the usual chocolate you find in Tesco and the likes. Green and Blacks for cooking, Beech's for eating on there own
Lord Geordie
I like just about ALL chocolate. I try the chocolates of the countries i Visit but some of the other stuff they produce is ALSO nice. Belgian German and the stuff the Jewish buy (don't know who makes it) but they are my favourite ones The Russians have some nice sweets too but the major part were healthy sweets like sesame seeds in toffee and Baclava mmmm Greece was along the same lines the markets were full of local sweets i was there for hours and felt ill after trying so much LG
Pike
For the best HOT CHOCOLATE you MUST try Twinnings real chocolate made with milk. It comes in a black tin with gold lettering and you can get it in Tesco. I am not usually a hot choc person but this is the only one which has a real dark and deep choc taste - now on my essentials list! Baldrick
The best chocolate (particularly chocolate needed to win over the wife/girlfriend) comes from Hotel Chocolat (www.hotelchocolat.co.uk). Their caramel-flavoured chocolate is good, and they also cater for you lunatics that like the 70%+ cocoa stuff. Personally I think the stuff looks and tastes like dung. For day-to-day fixes, Green and Black's is very good, as is Beech's.

pin
The high coca thing seems to be related to maturity of pallete, I couldn't stand dark choc when I was 20, can;t remember when I did start liking it but I love the stuff now. I think it was about the same time I started tutting at schoolchildren with bad diction and getting annoyed with politicians on the TV Nothing finer than a pint of the blackstuff and a few squares of 70%+ choc
