Snowman v Fox

A good friend of mine had recently been given a snow suit. He was extremely keen to try it out, so at the first sign of snow he was on the phone pestering me to go foxing with him.

I don't need much encouragement, and before I knew it we were out in the freezing cold looking for foxes. As it was a morning foray we decided to split up and cover separate halves of the estate.

I hadn't been out long before I noticed pigeons, pheasants and rabbits being disturbed in a piece of woodland - so I set the sticks up on the edge of the woodland and waited. I had barely finished getting comfortable before a very healthy looking vixen emerged 40yds in front of me.

She looked hungry, so I fed her 100gr of soft point.

A quick text to my friend confirmed that he'd connected with a shot I heard five minutes earlier, and we decided to call it a morning and get a good breakfast.

He was very pleased with the effectiveness of his snow suit... although it seems dark green is just as effective in the snow!
