stealth ghost net

I bought the 5m one at the British Shooting Show. The plus side is it is very light, but the foliage patern material is very thin and it snags on everything. I am always untangling sticks and general ground coverage from it. The ex military nets i have are better in my opinion, but if you want a very lightweight net to tuck in your rucksack, then the 3 ply one is the one to go for.

I have one of the ex military nets, despite having to lug it around and it stinks it makes an excellent hide, its just that when I'm behind it I'm always bobbing around trying to find holes to watch the pigeons.I am thinking of buying a stealth net and wondered how easy it was to see through it?

used a stealth 3 ply for first time last year, there great if you have a good back drop once leafs drop of hedges you need a second net for bottom two thirds.farmer told me he could see me half way cross field in November but not in September

We use the jack pike 3d leaf cut nets, light and they are reversible, folds to size of a hat,had a dog walker walk right up to us today and he didnt see us till his lab spotted us.

Have also tried the old 2 ply stealth and clear view, sold both of them and would not buy another, imho.

I have 3 different nets, the ghost net is ok but if there is any light behind you the birds will see you move, I use a 3D cut plastic mesh to put behind me, its very light but a bit bright coloured, then a long dark green and brown 3D net in front with just the top 12 inches in the ghost net, so I can keep an eye on the approaching birds without moving, finally I throw on any natural stuff I can find, grass, branches anything to make it look natural. Takes a while to put together but its worth it if it gets the birds in that bit closer. :good:

I do not think that the stealth net on it's own can be relied on for complete protection from the keen eye sight of pigeons and crows. However I do understand that 'her indoors' may not be able to see exactly what her errant partner is up to behind the net at the end of the garden.
