Nice bike, I popped around on a 125 for quite a while. Then moved up to a 400.

My bike, Kawasaki ZXR 400, rare blue L1 model. I miss it, recently sold on as im now going into road legal buggies

I spent 6 months rebuilding, cleaning, and replacing parts to get it as good as it looks

The Laddy was pee'd off he wasn't allowed on it hence the face :D

Hunter!

My last bike was a GSX600F so it's quite a step down but after almost being killed 3 times in 1 day alone due to asswipes in cages i decided it was time to have something a little slower :good:

LG, not sure that's the right way to go :D

I found that on the slower bikes I had to work bloody hard to get out of the way of stuff because it was so slow.

That said, if you ride defensively enough, you should be ok - just don't ride round Tower Hamlets or Newham in London :good:

Hunter, that's a lovely looking bike, what did you get for it?

I only got around £1700  Should have been more.

My next buy will hopefully be a 250cc-650cc Road legal buggy, but im still looking into them. Not much choice..

LG, its good you didnt give up like I did.

I was nocked off at fairly low speed from my 125, dislocated shoulder, very nearly broken leg. Lots of bruises even through the leathers.. ouch.

I called it quits after that, I knew how much it could hurt even if you are under 30mph.

My brother came home with a new Honda Hornet today, I felt a little home sick for my bikes :good:

Lost 2 bikes in accidents already

First was on the A19 near sunderland when some twonk clipped my handle bars with his mini bus.

Yes he was THAT close :stupid:

Knocked me into the kerb i lost control the bike ended up on the grass verge after skidding down the road holeing the tank and chewing up the fairings.

I ended up with my feet in the air between the crash barriers

Hurt like hell but i was a typical biker and was MORE interested in my Bike :ernyha:

The Second was JUST after comming away from the Docs i came to a roundabout off a 30MPH onto a 40 stretch so banked right about 45 deg and wound her on to straighten out and some dolly dimple pulled straight out in her People carrier ;)

Of course i had to brake extremely hard and was highsided :o That second in the air felt like a minuet and down i came "CRASH"

Winded - dazed - angry and i thought i had broke my wrist. I felt like i was gonna hurl and when i sat up to take my helmet off all i could here was "OMG don't take off your helmet" :drinks:

Of course the age old excuse came from dolly dimple (i didn't see you on your RED bike with your main beams on even though you were wearing a bright read bike jacket and the sun was shining

I am a bike nut through and through and will NEVER give them up i am affraid :D

This little beauty only cost £399 and £75 delivery :o

Will keep me busy for the next season till i get bored and get another sports bike

Ouch sounds like some painful incidents.

Good luck with your new toy!!

As for the above post, I have raced a Honda CR250r on a private MX track and it packed up the most often. Needed parts and rebuilds too often. Better once I stuck to Yamaha 4 stroke bikes :drinks: Japanese build quality is supirior to the Chinese recycled newspaper junk. Even cheap Japanese bikes will last a good while. But again its down to how you use it and treat it. :ernyha: keep the engine oil clean, sprockets and chain lubbed at their wont be much of a problem. Cant go worng with a 4 stroke single.

The SR125 I rode was on 63,000 miles when it finally died shortly after my crash. Japanses built, it was left outside for 6 years by the previous owner. New oil, new battery, tyres re-inflated, carb cleaned, and it fired up right away :stupid:

This is me on a little 125 Yamaha I bought to get started before any of the other bikes ;)
