Elk hunter
This might seen a little sad for a 40 year old hunter. But when I was 18 I saved all my money and drover down th Huntingdon and bought a rapid 7 from the factory. I was made up! It was awsome thats all i remember.I shot hundreds of pests around the farm and got me into even shot the dog. That wasn't my best days hunting. When I got my FAC at 20 moved into RF & CF rifles forgot about the Rapid. Then I made one of the few mistakes I still regret to this day.I sold it. idiot! Now l am building my new Air Range I can't stop thinking abou it, pallet load of targets ordered and all that's on my mine morning noon and night is the MK1 Rapid I owned. it's stupid I'm even trawling the web gunstar, guntrader, and every forum I can find. I want an early mark1 with the oiled walnut and stippling on the pistol grip. Sad I know exactly what I want. I mist out of one in holts but it went for silly money. So I've got a budget £5/600 and really one on. But my only concern is now that Theoben have closed can I still get parts. Magazines, service kits ect as I know my head is being ruled by my heart and nostalger. Don't want to buy a lemon then find I can't fix anything. Or are there better rifle out there? countryman
No not silly at all, our youth days for most of us realy were the best days, i have so many good memoires of me and my mate planing our early morning shoot, as for Theoben spares there are dedicated forums where you will find people who make Theoben parts better than Theoben did Chris

bigman
I think you should get one mate , why not life's too short is my excuse every time I spend I'd certainly never part with my proper mk1 it has a retro fitted BSA barrel from a early s10 and is bonkers accurate I have a newer mfr also modded but that normally stays in the cabinet Don't worry about parts just get on the r7oc some cracking lads on here that will help you out if needed , Go for it Atb

Elk hunter
Karl my range is taking shape and I'll let you know soon as! As for the Rapid 7 FAC, they can be picked up at a good price. But an FAC does not float my boat and the fact i hold 9 rifles already I don't have a need. Thankyou for the pictures but it going to have to be a Wanted Ad. As I'm looking for one with 2 smaller buddy bottles and can not find one anywhere. I know life's to short but I bought an old cased single shot rifle just after Xmas and i dont want to go out side the budget. But wants and needs are very similar in my book. I want it because I need it! That works for.
