carlton1
I appologise if this is daft or a repeat post but i could do with some advice if possible before i send my grant off. Under section 14 it asks to declare convictions, i know i have to declare driving convictions but this was over 5 years ago, i have forgotten the date and my paper licence no longer has the details on it ...dates fine code etc as it's now been removed from my record. Would the FAO accept an approximate date or will i have to find out the exact info on this conviction. (and how??) Any help would be greatly appreciated...many thanks!! TaxiDriver
Put it down with approximate dates, If they want to check it more closely they'll be able to (they'll have a record anyways) OR, Don't put it down and when the FEO asks, why you didn't declare it/Are you trying to hide things ? (Chances are they'll already know)

parapilot
Just put approx dates, eg sp30 fixed pennalty, approx 12 years ago. and in brackets put no longer on license, unsure of exact date. That's what I did and they didn't even mention it. All went through fine.
Will Poon
You can pay for a records check I think ring local police HQ and ask (or FEO...) when I applied for mine I think I asked the same question about past history offences but it seems to take some time from my recollection abit like a CRB check . carlton1
Was guessing that speeding fines are not so much an issue as other more serious convictions so long as i haven't been done for speeding many times....thanks again for all help!! jackinbox99
Ive never ever put points down on my SGC application and the FEO`s never asked me. If he did id be honest & tell him, so i presume if he`s done a check and not asked then he`s happy with how things are.
