bullet boy
I know this has been mentioned before on a similar thread but I'm still undecided what pocket sized powerful Cree torch to buy in the UK. I don't want to buy a cheap Chinese or similar make on the bay but want a tidy one from a good Store or Dealer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou. gav05
Led lenser p7 with gun mount kit and pressure pad off the bay £50 and is very good for air rifle and rim fire I have used on both and found to be a great bit of kit and for a ten pound more you can get filter kit. Worth a go if its not what you want you would sell for same price easy.
White Lodge
I had a Fenix TK11 it's a cracking little torch. I used it a lot over the last couple of years until the Mrs nicked it for checking the lambs, small, light enough and with a good reach, eyes at 100yds, it was good enough for the rimfire. Only downside was I thought that the beam was a bit wide, with quite a lot of overspill. Two different power settings, high and low. Decent battery life. http://www.fenixtorc...ix-tk11-r5.html So I bought an ArmyTek Predator, the head is a bit bigger but the beam is quite tight, not too heavy to sit on the rifle. It has about a million settings including SOS and strobe, not that I will use them http://www.flashahol...ator-black.html Both have gun related accessories. Chris Bb
Fenix LD20 does it for me. 2xAA & various settings, batteries seem to last for ages. Led Lenser P2 1xAA, very handy, alwways in my pocket at work. Also bought a Lidl special offer 3xD cell, beam goes on forever but a large lump to carrry around. Basically, LED's are just getting better all the time. You can now even get superb conversions for Mini Maglites bringing them screaming into the 21st century. 00buck
I use a surefire. For rabbiting it was around 15 pound off the bay With a white cree I did buy a green cree that was better as the rabbits did not run with it But the cree bulb did not last very long The only down side is it takes 2 123a batteries they do last a while But they are around 1.50 each

Is that the Pro-Scanner1000 Torch? Anyone have any experience of this torch? I'm just wondering what sort of maximum shooting distance you could get with it. I've tried one of the Ultrafire torches with the modified lens, the beams ok, but the torch itself is very unreliable. shot the lot
Hi I Bought a 'Divers Torch' off the bay £4.99 absolutely fantastic, Came from China within 4 days and works superb. On UK sites they are £44.99 for the same torch. Look out for the fluorescent lime yellow with the little diver on the side, superb.

coyotemaster
Hi Mark, Not sure of your bias against Chinese lights but I have a surefire knock off that I paid too much for but works fantastic. I bought it from an American supplier and my son bought a whole box full from China--same light for what I gave for one. I purchased a cap with a bracket that the light snaps into and works keen for spotting with the red LED. I think Sure Fire direct or DynoDirect was the site.
