Hey bobby have you considered looking around at other makes, for £1200-1300 theres quite a few to choose from... A disadvantage with the cynergys will be the re-sale value as not alot of people want them, becuase their different...i too abstain.. i wouldn't get any of the above

i have had a look around i'm not a great fan of beretta's and i had narrowed it down to these 2 guns i have felt both and liked both im just wounering if the extra £500 is warrented for the cynergy, i like the fact that its new i like the look, but is it just a gimmick and am i going to find that its not as good as the cheaper miroku?

mate i've got to go but have a read through these

In terms of make of gun

If im not mistaken i think Miroku is owned by browning, (if not owned then they are certainly based on the browning design) they're made in Japan.

have a think as to what your basing your reasoning on for the choice of gun, it looks pretty or its a well built piece if kit and fits+handles well, i still rekon to look around at some other guns but if these are your choices then heres some night time reading on the cynergy,

and on the Mk38

I heard that some Brownings are made by Miroku in japan. If you don't like the feel of Berettas, then any of the guns you mention are popular. I'd personally go for the cheaper one! The only downer I was told about the Browning family is that they rust a lot more easily than Beretta. That put me off, as well as the bulky feel they have. This may be what you like about them. People usually like one but not the other because of the difference in style

Its no good just buying a gun coz it looks good or on the advice of a second party. It could be the best gun in the world but if it dont fit you you aint gonna shoot to the best of your abillity. my advice would be try sa many as you can before you buy. FIT should be your No1 priority :good:

I didn't vote - there was no box for "none of the above".

take a leaf out of Munglers book and attempt to buy one of every gun currently on the market

and presto eventually you will own the perfect gun for you

ps

open your range a bit there's a whole lotta guns out there

njc,

I think that you will find that all Browning shotguns are now made in Japan.

Some, if not all that are hand engraved are finished in Belgium, I visited the factory a few years ago and watched the engravers at work, absolutely fascinating, I also had a look around the military weapons section, (now closed to Joe Public), and saw a guy test firing a machine gun in a special indoor firing range.

He was taking these guns off an overhead conveyor, test firing, adjusting the barrel pitch and then putting them back, the noise was absolutely deafening, and he had no ear protection - it wouldn't happen nowadays..!!

Cat.

The gun I found perfect for me was the Blaser F3 - it's light and very pointable and you could get a good second hand one for the price range you are in. However, guns are personal, and I know several people that won't shoot light guns.

Go to a couple of shops and pick up and put down as many guns as you can get away with before irritating the staff. Essex Gun in Romford are a great shop for this as most of their guns are out on display in the back room and they have an enormous selection.

For the money I don't think you can't go wrong with a multichoke Beretta - get a second hand one for the best bargain. But again, it's all personal choice - I know that second hand Berettas are the same money as new Bettinsoli and Lanbers - but I found opening and closing these guns like the difference between slaming the door shut on a Fiat Panda and or closing the door on a Mercedes.

think it was around £1230 - 1250.

recoil is fine, regularly stick 100 - 200 cartriges through it, dont wear a skeet etc, shoulder always fine.

got a 32" it can get a little end heavy if i go through a box of 50 carts, but only if i shoot the whole box in a few minutes.

weight dist is fine for me though, i used to swing a bit quickly and sometimes almost jerkily, hasent happened since i got mine though.

have to bear in mind though i hadent really used a many different guns before i got mine though

If your choice is on of those three then buy the Miroku. I was going to buy a Cynergy until I handled them at the game fair. Browning ought to be ashamed of themselves. The black ice felt like a toy, the stock was really skinny and the balance all wrong. It also felt very rough around the edges. There is alot of guns in your price range that are far superior.

I would be looking at a Ultra Xs or a berreta as both will be in your price range. I also have a F3 and they are fantastic. They are balanced well and my 32" barrel gun swings like a 28".

got it for a good price as it was the third gun we had bought from them and i haggle like f##k on the price of just about everything i buy !!

would of been happy with a wood stock as i just wanted a gun that wasnt covered in ducks etc, only came across them when we were looking for a gun for my lad last year, he was the same and wanted something plain, hes well p###ed he had to get a wood one though.

it gets worse though, the wife has started having a bit of a shoot and wants one with a pink stock !!

thanks for your help, i am still undecided though, even at £1250 it is still en expensive gun for pigeons and calys. do you think that the lower profile of the cynergy actually makes a difference to the way it shoots, also i know somebody who had trouble with their black ice with the ejector pins, have you had any such trouble? thanks in advance.
