ack-ack
I'm in the process of swapping a TD5 lump for a 300 tdi in my commercial 110 and now my insurer doesn't want to know as its modified !!!! Tsk! Any pointers for a specialist insurance company would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers

Trevorevans
Wouldn't touch Adrian Flux again. They want to know the in's and outs of everything, won't take phone calls from people such as other insurers as proof of no claims etc. want everything in writing but want you to do all the leg work instead of them. When you do sort it all and send it to them (twice) they then reply with a letter stating that unless you send them all the details they require they are going to cancel your insurance at the end if the month. You couldn't make it up, Very unsatisfied customer here. Also know a guy in our 4x4 club that took over a 12month to sort out a claim through them. ack-ack
Cheers for the leads gents. Flux came in at £560 which I'm going to try and improve on. Next stop Lancaster and Peter James. I had no idea that shopping for car insurance could be such fun.
lister1
Sureterm. Mine was about 350 nuggets. Sureterm specialise in 4x4 insurance. Think their policy even covers mikd off roading such as driving across a filed for shooting or even greenlaning.

Moors Man
I'm with Admiral on multi car policy at £235 on a Disc II TD5. I moved from NFU who wanted nearly £
ack-ack
I've just run through the Lancaster online application and it came back with no quotes! Phoned Lancaster and explained I wanted a commercial policy on a modified vehicle. They said they needed to talk to the underwriters. That was Friday, rang today and they still have not got word back. Is a modified commercial a problem? I've tried insuring it as private but as its classed as a commercial thats causing grief also. mickmep
insured my td5 with churchill. business use, goods in transit etc and they were much cheaper than flux, nfu, sureterm etc.
Diceman
1 more vote for Lancaster. Way cheaper than anyone else and not fussed about modifications. I converted a manual diesel 110 to an auto V8 and they weren't fussed at all, I paid £115 for TPFT with mileage limited to 3000 pa. If you are getting no quotes online it might be worth giving them a call.
