would love to photograph one but never seen one

Cracking pic doc, it's a very good bird round these parts. Had a night heron down the local res this week. Would of been nice if someone like yourself could do it justice with such a beautiful photo!

 

Keep your eye on birdguides for the rarer stuff if your interested like.

will be trying to improve my macro with some more bugs will post when i get them, trouble is this thing called work and shooting get in the way............

Its a place I want to visit to get the wading birds arriving in spring, plus I hear its very good for owls, role on retierment

 

Norfolk is good in the spring if you're after waders but come earlier in the year for the owls. These people below do organised field trips and you sometimes get to see all five of the British owl species in one hit.

BTW I have a mate who rings Barn Owls in the county.
