Up for grabs is a very good condition Beretta S686 Special, 12G, fixed choke, single trigger, ejector.

The barrels are in brand new condition with the action having no play. The wood is in good condition with a few minor scratches from defenders, but this is shown in the pictures.

I purchased this gun as being my rough gun to use, purchased in september but have not fired a shot through it, so whats the point.

Barrels are 30", managed to get a calipre down the barrels chokeing is 1/4 and 1/2, chambers 2 3/4".

Offer me £475 and its yours. The cheapest i can find on GT is £750, have dropped the price already so has to go quickly

Any more info. needed just ask.

Can sort localish delivery for petrol money. RFD Transfer is also an option once funds have cleared.

Regards

Gibby

Believe me I have thought hard about this lovely gun - but I am on a mission to cut down, not to add to, my burgeoning collection !!

I'm going from having OU, semi and sbs down to just two - a sbs and a semi - and at the moment I have no room in the cabinet.

What a nice gun though...

They really are cracking guns and the older Berettas are built like Grandpa's tool shed.

I got a secondhand 686 as my first gun and put trillions through it. It's from the 1980's and I like to think that it welcomed others like me into the sport over the years. I have promised it to a mate who I got into shooting, but have been having second thoughts.

Gibbys gun will fill the whole nicely. Also, the whole multichoke "thang" has worn off for me as I now know what a load of old cock it is - multichokes just add an extra 10 minutes to gun cleaning.

I tell you what, it's a solid gun.

I know I go on about old Berettas being the bees knees, but the next time there is a PWF meet up, we should do a blind gun taste challenge.

I really don't get who would want a new Bettinisolidodah as opposed to a well looked after second hand Beretta.
