BaikalsRule90
hi folks! im looking for a cheap and cheerful semi auto for smashing pests and occasional clay shooting that isn't an Escort! I've had one (one of the new ones with extended choke) and couldn't hit a barn door at ten paces with it, just didn't suit me and got the impression that it patterned really high (might just be in my head haha!). was looking at a revo/Khan matrix the other day and came up nice and felt lots better than the hatstand. anyone had any experience with this gun? I only want to spend about £450, so its either a new Turkish delight, a beretta 301/302/303 (incidentally whats the difference?) or a remi 1187. not too keen on buying an old auto as parts are like hens teeth and Remington bits are dear. atb, steve
Marki
I bought a Franchi Raptor the other week and love it! I took it clay shooting and hit around 35 out of 50 with a 1/2 choke while getting use to it. I spoke to GMK and spares are readily available. tedster
What've you got against a hatstand then? You're missing out on a good tool.
Livefast123
Going by your username I would have thought that you'd have tried the Baikal MP153 semi..............
BaikalsRule90
Nothing wrong with hatsans just couldn't shoot it. Like not even a little bit. Shot two rounds of 50 sporting. Shot 43 with the Beretta and second round shot 22 with the auto. That's just one example. And The Baikals are really expensive for a tank barrel! Longbower
Baikal MP 153 Like the man says, or if you want a really cheap but reliable, try a Non gas "long inertia" Franchi Hunter. Iv'e got 20g, got it for peanuts, and its bagged so many bunnies, and never missed a beat, I cannot get on with Hatsans either. No particular reason. Wharf Rat
Beretta A30anything, Browning A5 or B80, Baikal MP 153, Remington 1100/11-87, any Franchi from 1948 till today or buy a pump action. Loads to choose from. Fill your boots man! I would love Longbowers 20g Franchi though...

BaikalsRule90
There is a 1187 sporting clays model for sale near me for 450. This any good? Also a franchi Hunter with 28 barrels but really short in the stock as its been cut down by its previous owner. Don't know the price of that but it's probably around 300. Marki the only new gun I'm gonna get new for 400 is Turkish but it is new I suppose.
GingerCat
Got a Beretta al390 for 450 quid recently. No marks, looks unused, shoots great. Plenty to choose from on that budget.
