kdubya
Never ever noticed this before! but yesterday whilst out on the pigeon, all the dead birds where literally covered in wasps so much so it was fight to retrieve them, some had even managed to start burrowing into the flesh, now I presume wasps eat meat but as said I have not seen this behavior before, twas a strange day even had to put up with a sparrow hawk constantly attacking my hypa's kept haveing to shoo it away!! turbo33
Yup had the same KW. Even when I got home and was breasting them, the spiteful little ******* were coming in to have a munch. Could be it was the sweet smell of fermenting corn coming off the birds or maybe they are just after the meat

kennett
Yep seems to be worse this summer than ever before, they especially like busted eyes, they eat through them and right into the head!
lakeside1000
same here , last two outings on the barley stubble they were eating out the eyes of the dead decoys, made me look twice before I picked them up, had to resort to kicking the birds to dislodge the wasps, never seen it before. Martin&Oakley
Came across a skanky dead pigeon and as mentioned before a wasp came out when I turned it over. However the wasp seemed like it had been on the ****, hovering right to left very slowly.

solz
I've notices the same, I shot a pigeon at fairly close range so messed the carcass up a bit, and when I went to pick it up it was full of wasps, and like your self I was a bit nervous picking it up
