Mollyspringer
Hi, can anyone help me out? I'm looking for some pigeon decoys, camo netting for a hide and anything else that might come in handy. I only started last year and used a friends gear. I'm now looking to go out on my own now. If anyone has retired from the sport or just given up and looking to sell there gear off let me know. Thanks Owain

Mollyspringer
A1 decoys seem expensive. Aa decoys look pretty reasonable! Although I don't mind 2nd hand, was hoping someone might have been selling up...

Frenchieboy
Mollyspringer - It's all well and good jioning the forum and then straight away asking for cheap decoying gear in your first or second post but to help out why not at least fill in some details so that we at least know where you are from. You might even get a few offers of help that way or even a member or two offering to take you out with them mate!

Thanks Owain You can make very cheap decoys yourself its all I use to be honest they do the job a treat and at the end of the day if the birds aint on the field your on it dont matter what decoys you use! One thing I wish I still had was my old manual flapper liked that better than an electric one or a magnet. If anyone has one of those they dont use anymore I would love it!!! Thought it would be ok to join and see if anyone was selling off any old gear? Yeah if someone wanted to take me out that would be great, but I have permission on a few farms near me that I go to with my friend I mentioned in the original post and he told me to try asking on here. Sorry if I went about it the wrong way

Penelope
Get in touch with 'ditchman' on here as I believe he makes them to order. Mollyspringer
Well said frenchieboy this seams to be a common problem on the site at the moment. I'm under attack from OAPs/silver surfers!!! Lol. What's the big deal with joining then asking to buy something? I'm pretty new to the sport so there's not much I can contribute to the forum plus I work full time so I haven't really got time to sit on here making small talk. I'm not made of money, so thought I would just put it out there and see if anyone was selling off there old gear. Seems iv upset some of the "die hards" on here. Dead eye Alan/frenchieboy I'm sure if you had something to sell and Someone new just joined up and was asking for what you was selling you wouldn't mind then would you? Dead eye Alan/frenchieboy I'm sure if you had something to sell and Someone new just joined up and was asking for what you was selling you wouldn't mind then would you? This is not some sort of a "put down", it is more of an advisory note in an attemopt to try to help you out Mollyspringer: As I said in my earlier post no-one was asking for your life story but it is nothing short of good manners or common courtest to try to fill in a few details on your profile and it only takes a few minutes so that members have a little idea on who they might be trying to help out. I am not an OAP nor would I class myself as a "silver surfer" or as you have put it a "die hard". I do not go out of my way to find fault with newer members either (Or any other members come to that), in fact quite the opposite, I have always been more than willing and ready to help any member out in any way that I can. As for any gear that I had which was no longer needed and I wanted to part with it I would more than likely advertise it in the "For Sale" section and give it to a new or young shooter rather than sell it for just a few quid, something that I have done on many occasions. However having said that I would be reluctant to help someone out that showed some sort of an attitude problem or went straight onto the attack as soon as someone tried advising them. OK, you might not have much time for small talk or chit chat because you put a lot of hours into supporting yourself and your family (Highly commendable) but manners cost nothing and as long as you show the sort of attitude to suggestions that you are showing on this thread I suspect the help that you are asking for might well not be as forthcoming as you might hope! Why not sit back and take a clill pill and think about it for a few minutes? If you want help then you have joined the right forum, there are a lot of guys on here that are more than willing to go out of their way to help others but you need to start by trying to help yourself first! mel b3
mollyspringer , i read your first post and thought id post a few free decoys and an old net and poles off to you just to get you started , i buy too much new gear and tend to pass my old stuff on for free to youngsters or new starters or mates , (ive had plenty of free stuff given to me too) , after reading you further posts it became clear that you can be quite a rude and abrasive individual and those posts changed my mind pretty quickly. pete is one of the nicest guys in the pw shooting community and he will bend over backwards to help anyone (youd have seen this if you had kept your eyes open and your mouth shut for a while) , your rude replies were unwarranted !. if you intend becoming a permanent member of pw youll find that youll fit in much better if you learn a few manners ! Mollyspringer
Obvious some people have no sense of humour here! There's no need for a chill pill I'm actually laughing at this. I find it crazy that you guys have taken the time to moan at me. Your clearly very bored, I'd look at this post and think "no I don't have anything to sell, or know anyone selling" then just not comment and move on to the next post. And Mel b3 that's very kind of you, but I'm not a charity and I would have given you a fair price the same as anyone else. I'm not rude but there was no need for frenchieboy to comment as he doesn't have anything to sell and I felt as if he was having a dig at me. If you think I'm going to lick **** to get people to give me stuff and take me out then that's not me I say things as they are. It was a simple post looking to purchase some gear. I'm here to buy someone's old gear, it's that simple. If you not selling or don't know anyone then jog on and stop filling this post up with your unwanted comments.
