Whitebridges
There's a review of the CZ .17 Hornet in this months edition of Sporting Rifle and an advert on the back cover from Edgar Bros.
Dekers
They won't go on sale at that price though. In the normal course of events I would totally agree, but allegedly there is a long queue for these and many pre orders (did you see that pig fly over ) , bit odd if that is the case as Edgar Bros are actively advertising them now. Yep, List prices are funny old things, have you seen the latest Remington/Sportsmarketing Price list? Frightening.....example.... V8 90
I pondered on 1 for a dedicated Night Vision Rifle but decided a second .204 was easier & much better.

Cheers That's interesting, where on earth does quantity 25 come from, I've never owned a Hornet are the .22 in 25? ....and not quite outrageous, but not cheap...80p each! No doubt other manufacturers are sitting on the fence at the moment waiting to see what happens! Edited November 28, 2013 by Dekers
kent
Hornet ammo has always been sold in batches of 25, not sure why but I think its a better number than boxes of 20 Found a few CZ .17 Hornet at $704 USD in the good ol' US of A! = £ 431.93 GBP There are sharks swimming around our coast you know
Kes
Stupid question perhaps for those who do it regularly but can you import from the US and is it worth the effort for a firearm ? I am really tired of UK, as opposed to US, prices. I wanted to buy a tractor recently, it was about £6k new from the US and £11+k new bought here. Been like that forever. what costs a dollar over there costs a pound here or worse. look at the northern tools catologe , they do a UK version and a US version with prices. Whitebridges
Hornet ammo has always been sold in batches of 25, not sure why but I think its a better number than boxes of 20 There are sharks swimming around our coast you know I think the sharks have shed their fins and live in a man cave in Macclesfield. Their brethren in the gunshops are only following instructions and sticking it big time in to the needy. If you compare American prices and UK prices there is usually some difference but it gets a bit silly sometimes. Most manufacturers try very hard to compromise US dollar and British pounds. If they don't then there can be a huge problem with "Grey Imports" - goods bought in to the UK. With items like firearms Edgar Brothers has no or very little risk. So they are supplied from Europe and making massive margins. The demand from the US is huge for CZ .17 hornet but the price point at the moment is definitely taking the ****. Where did you get that from? The US is a much bigger gun market that the UK and gets preference, simple as, same with Beretta, Tikka, etc. The US isn't going mad for the .17 Hornet from what I see, they just take loads of guns period, and pretty much all the manufacturers look after the US first!
