taximan
If you are going to send it off to a taxidermist, get it frozen ASAP. Wrap it tightly in a couple of bagsand then wrap a couple of lengths of selotape/masking tape around the bags. as long as you have most of the air out of the bags it will last a year or two in the freezer, whilst you pick your best taxidermist. taxi

You'd have to stretch it a fair bit to get it over your head..

Rimfireboy
I get problems with mink, just got to keep at 'em.
Salop Matt
So what are folk shooting them with ? Rimfire, but I spy a rapid but is that FAC or sub 12 ?
Rimfireboy
Most that I've shot have been with shotguns, but I also use air rifles, rimfire, FAC. I've shot a couple with my .25 cal 12ft lb rifle.I don't go hunting for them, I just happen on them, so I use what I'm carrying at the time. They're usually on the move but fairly close range but can be tough to stop. They're vicious creatures and you need to know they're dead before you get your fingers near 'em. I once shot a weasel with a .22 shot shell, only to get bitten because I thought it was dead. dougall
lovely pelt on him too.....rarely see a mink here (W.sussex ) but plenty of stoats. No idea what all this flooding will do to rabbit population/other burrow dwellers but it cannot be good...
