wildfowler.250
What's the verdict on these jackets? Are they worth the cost? Has anyone got any suggestions for a website/shop that is likely to have the best price for one? Thanks!

Has anyone got any suggestions for a website/shop that is likely to have the best price for one? Thanks! I've got a pair of the trousers and they are indestructible, if the jackets are the same, then yes. They are a heavy canvas type material, I'm not too fond of the the feel of it. Shop wisely too, the sizing is a little odd (or my build is, one of the two)
wildfowler.250
Cheers for the reply! The trousers looks very good too. Are they totally waterproof? Do they get too hot if you're doing a lot of walking? I've yet to find something that's waterproof and 'breathable' Thanks!

Completely waterproof, I've been out on the farm all day in horrific weather, I know they are waterproof as I pressure wash myself after working with stock. They are ok in the winter, you'd get warm in the warmer weather. Mine have had two years of absolute battering.

Beardo
i think they're the mutts nuts, had the trousers for about 3 years now (still good as new), got the jacket recently which was brilliant in Croatia... Stealth Stalker and I both wearing our Harkilas...
wildfowler.250
Cheers for all the replies guys! Don't think I've heard a bad word about the stuff. Completely waterproof, I've been out on the farm all day in horrific weather, I know they are waterproof as I pressure wash myself after working with stock. They are ok in the winter, you'd get warm in the warmer weather.Mine have had two years of absolute battering. If you can pressure wash them, then rain and kneeling on wet ground shouldn't be a problem There is a bit on these on the latest fieldsports britain channel (the one with Will / Teal in) .... well worth watching. cheers! i think they're the mutts nuts, had the trousers for about 3 years now (still good as new), got the jacket recently which was brilliant in Croatia... Stealth Stalker and I both wearing our Harkilas... Thanks! I have more hunting shooting jackets that you can shake a stick it. Many of thrm are good but only one of them is as good as my prohunter jacket. Layer up underneath it for extra warmth and enjoy wearing the finest jacket i have yet to find. This is the saville row option, seriously. I also have a very close relationship with a major dealer who gives me the 'nod' as to which brands he gets more failures from and Hatkila is right at the bottom(best quality) of that list!I cant say enough how mine is my only suit, for special occasions like last weeks trip to czech. Think of adding the anneboda jumper underneath for real wool and incredible warmth. Cheers fister. Any suggestions where is likely to have the best price/deals on one? My jacket at the moment has got more holes in it than swiss cheese and my shooting trousers no longer have a top button,(every time I cross a fence the start to fall down and unzip ). Flashman
What's the difference between the Pro-Hunter and Pro-Hunter X - apart from £20 or so?
Vipa
had both.. prohunter x is much more refined, better design, more fredom of movement and less silly little useless bits stuck on the outsides.. Basically an updated version.. Better hardwear (i.e. zips, fastners etc.. ) heavier duty (my main complaint on the original) Pesonally, I think the Brown version is a MUCH nicer colour (imho) than the green... I never did like the shade of green they used.... In hindsight, the original wouldn't get a look in over the new 'X' version and if I am not still wearing mine in 5/10 years, absolute disasters aside, I'll be amazed.. Best price I found anywhare was from Montrose Guns & Tackle... by some margin!

paul041075
Wore the trousers in hot and cold weather and they have been great, would highly recommend them. They take some abuse and look like new after two years. Jacket is very good too but very warm and quite heavy, great for when stood along time duck fighting or stalking though. Highly recommend anything Harkila yet to try the boots and willies though, but will when funds allow.

docholiday
I have both the Jacket and trousers and use them for stalking, however due to the really bad weather on sat I wore them on a driven pheasant and partridge day, have to say did get wet around the crutch which surprised me, though it was driving rain for about six hours otherwise no problems though to hot in the summer but didn't buy it for the summer
