Lucky Shot 1958
HI guys, Some info please,do/have any of you ever used Bisley Magnums in a non FAC pcp,I would of thought that they would be a bit too heavy for a 12ftlb ? Thanks
Oli383
What caliber is this mate?
Zetter
in .177 they are not bad and don't screw up the trajectory that badly. They also have produced the tightest groups I have had in a couple of guns especially some BSA PCPs. In .22 in my opinion they are way too heavy in non FAC guns. Oli383
I agree with the above, My R10 is very fussy only likes them and daystate Li's so I have both ends of the scale there, anyway the Bisleys are great pellet very accurate and stand up to the wind allot better than the daystate, And they keep there energy allot further down range. I wouldn't use the .22 tho as it will be like throwing the pellet.

Theskyfox
Don't use em myself, but in .177 they work fine at sub 12ftlbs. Used them to check the power and they added about an extra 0.2ftlbs. Not sure what they are like in 22 though. -Andrew
Zetter
I wouldn't bother in .22 mate the trajectory would be something approaching a .25 cal and it wouldn't give you much benefit in my opinion
Underdog
Itis sad your being told not to use them without not knowing what you wish to use them on! I have used them often. They are good on pigeons where you can be under them...shoooting straight up or so. The 22 one shoots well in most guns. Flat enough over 30yds. U. Fisheruk
I never use my air rifles at anything more than 30 yrds and often only 20 yrds. They have a good stopping power. I only use 22.
Dekers
.22 We all have different uses and expectations. The .22 Bis Mag is an excellent pellet, but I don't have a use for it in 12 ft lb!

Which are Crosman Premier 7.9 grain pellets in a much more expensive tin, oh yes, yes yes yes! If you want to try a cheaper pellet which is magnum weight try Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum .177 (10.5 grain), very accurate in my Super 10 BBC, surpassed only by Defiant Ogives in 4.52 (all results tested by John Bowkett, so independent of Mole)! deputy dog
I use them in .177 through my Regal and out to 30yrds I get pretty good groupings and use them on rats and magpies around my fathers chicken coup. I have taken vermin out to 40yrds but that was after some practice and learning their drop over the extra 10yrds. But some guns are fussy with them as I believe, so I guess it's up to you to see what's what with them and your rifle. DD
Zetter
I would say that unless your gun is hellishly pellet fussy I wouldn't be considering them in .22 its trajectory is loopy enough as it is without helping it along. They are heavier than H+N FTT in .25 cal! If I wanted extra stopping power at ranges under 20yds I would be looking to hollow points or flatheads personally as they tend to group well at shorter ranges. Just my opinion mileage may vary
bullet boy
I use Bisley Magnum pellets in all my .177 Daystate rifles. I find them very accurate and hard hitting.Very happy with their performance indeed.

I am aware of that mate but I can never got hold of the crosman premieres in .177 that are the 7.9 grain, And I have not tried the crosman heavies but sure they are just as good. I haven't used the R10 for a while it needs a tune but will be soon, thans

Perhaps you may find the weight you want on there. And they bulk buy as well. Hope this helps a bit.
