Mentalmac
Hi guys, When you do webuyanycar and you have the inspection where I guess they find any little chip and dent and try to knock the value down what do they do? Do they walk around with you and do the test drive it and all that?
Gordon R
I think they would go to any length to find fault - or so I am led to believe.
Harlyn
According to a guy at work the chap he met fed all the info into his ipad hit the enter button, he forgot to mention a small scratch on the boot and they offered 4250, a 250 drop against what he was originally offered on line which was non negotiable. He was well chuffed and took the money
super sharp shooter
I've used them a couple of times and found them ok. The valuation you get on line will not be the true valuation because they will walk round your car and will always find something. So if you go with this in mind and have a minimum price your willing to take no problem.

aris
Reviews here tend to be 1 start or 5 stars. I'm guessing the 5-* are shills. http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.webuyanycar.com

shootgun
i sold mine this week to wewantanycar.com, i got £760 more than webuyanycar.com quoted me and they paid only £30 less. Bear in mind, there is an administration fee, and if you want your money next day, there is another fee...

Mungler
Anyone flogging a cheap but reliable pick up?
kent
Err, the whole idea is they pick up cars cheaper than they can at auction and from direct fleet purchases. You will not get the best deal, more likely you will get better driving round the used car pitches and asking if they are interested in giving you a bid to buy. Alternatively put it through auction with a suitable reserve most trade buyers specialise in this buying up the to old to retail from main dealers and running them through the block (or distributing them to small pitch dealers on sale or return basis). The offer you get in principle will never be the real one as even if you give them what you see as a good appraisal (which they don't give much scope for) it would not stand up to trade standards of an honest appraisal. When I sold our nearly new car with full man. warranty (as the wife was forced into a company car). They allowed for no honest appraisal, gave a very low quote, then about a fortnight latter upped it a few grand without prompting. After being messed about by a few privates I got a call from a main dealer, who took my appraisal transferred the cash paid the asking price and collected it for about a k more. I found out the GM was I guy I knew from the old days and was later informed by him they had a customer waiting and made a fair draw on the thing themselves and the best of luck to them
FarmerSim
We used them once. as others have said, there are fees for every damn thing they can think to charge you for, and every single scratch gets noted and knocked off the "value" too. I could go on... and on... Suffice it to say, it was not an experience we will repeat.
caeser
There's even a 'We buy any gun' now. Although I don't know of anyone that's tried it. I have a gun for sale , and I found out about it on the net. But after my past bad experience with WBAC I definitely won't be offering it to them. bazzab
Robbing ******** imo. I do apologise if this offends anyone but I dont see how they have a business. There business model is ripping people off and there clearly making huge profits. I would never use them. They make insulting offers that are clearly a lie online, when you take the vehicle to them they wont honour that offer even if car is mint. Gets right on my goat. And breath Baz. Rant over.
