Guest stevo
Morning chaps . well I had another day out on sunday , only this time I went out with the sole intention of bagging some crows/rooks , I got to my spot and set up buy 8 am ( ish ) started off with 6 dead rooks on cradles , it was quite sunny already by this time , and thought it could be a bit of a problem , I had to use my spare net to cover my barrow and so I didn't have enough to make a roof over the hide , so found a spot that would keep me tucked away in the shade for most of the day , and just lifted my poles up as high as I could and me tucked down a low as poss , Not ideal but I will know next time . still the day went well , I had a mixture of RC sipe , and gamebore clear pigeon . The RC's were as always superb ( in my gun ) however the clear pigeon 32 grm fibre didn't seem to be as good , well not with the big carrions at least , I mainly noticed it when the shot was taken as the bird was flying away , some that had a good hit , yet still needed a second shot to bring them down , still they done the job , This is not me slating the clear pigeon , I suspect they just don't pattern as well as the RC's in my gun , ( will be spending some time on the pattern plate very soon ) I will say that the RC's certainly do kick the hell out of the carrions , one very very hard hitting cartridge IMO . anyway I packed up at 4pm with a total bag of 110 shot , 107 picked up carrions 54 rooks 35 jackdaws 16 woodies 2 pick from yesterday https://www.dropbox.com/sc/wpezk8a5uxaowdt/8NSYb1TSsR and heres the Video hope you enjoy Edited April 14, 2014 by stevo

Catweazle
If you could get the camera right behind the gun you would make a really excellent tutorial video. Great shooting.
Guest stevo
If you could get the camera right behind the gun you would make a really excellent tutorial video. Great shooting. I have played about with that idea but problems I have found , attaching it to the gun tends to upset the balance of the gun, also ruins the sight picture . that said I wont rule it out , there's always a way ;-) stevo

Guest stevo
Stevo you are giving us quite a lesson of late. jDog , there are only three lessons I have learnt over the years pigeon shooting that I feel I would be qualified to give haha #1 buy warm clothes, shooting in spring / summer is just the farmer/ landowner rewarding you sitting for out all day in the winter months shooting naff-all #2 buy a good seat #3 buy a big flask regarding anything else to do shooting pigeons .......... ask others on here , there are much better qualified folk to ask . I just do what works for me regards stevo Edited April 15, 2014 by stevo

motty
That's a good bag and a nice video. I'm not a massive fan of the slow-mo sections as there is no sound. Try some smaller shot sizes on the crows. I think you may be pleasantly surprised.

I know what you mean on the slow mo , but to be honest the cam is still very new and its a bit of a novelty ;-) it will soon where off . stevo
