ging125
Can anyone recommend a charter boat in whiby? I am best man and organising a stag there. I have expericence of sea fishing but most of the others dont. Will need to hire rods etc for the majority. Any advice would be appriciated! fenboy
Not fished whitby for years but we always use to go on a boat called shy torque. Not sure if its a good idea for a stag do , most decent skippers will not want you drinking on board, also bare in mind that if there is a bit of a blow you may not have a stag event so will need a back up plan. Bleeh
I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but I've seen stag do's where a bit' o fishing does nothing but crash the mood.6 hours of cold, 2 fish caught, everyone at various states of seasickness.Or, you know, go go-karting or something. Flashman
It's not just the women that are rough in Whitby. The sea's tough on tender stomachs as soon as you pass the harbour entrance, which is perhaps why all the day charter boats were tied up on the quay every time I visited.. kdubya
whitby boats tend to be overpriced and over rated, IMHO KW
toontastic
whitby boats tend to be overpriced and over rated, IMHO KW You'll be better off going out from hartlepool, then Kw can get the beers in.

Berettacocker
Shy torque and sea otter are tops for cod fishing. Try and book your trip for the day you arrive, enjoy the booze free fishing then get on the lash afterwards. Have a good un anyway
secretagentmole
Never Can Tell A, See Breeze II, I used to book through Ralph Tose at Flowergates. Dont know if the Tose family are still involved in organising boats, but they could usually get either a boat or a seat on one!
