tricka
Been told its summit todo with the inertia block as it fires if ya give the butt a wack
robbiep
First question is this : do you KNOW what you're doing if you took it apart to fix it yourself ? If the answer is no, then find a gunsmith, and get it fixed properly
darren 67
Try taking the stock off and cleaning and relubricating the action. Edited June 19, 2014 by darren
tricka
I havnt got a clue, had it to one gunsmith to which he said he cudnt find anything wrong with it
HDAV
What cartridges are you using? a competent gunsmith is the answer but if using low recoil shells it may not be enough to set the inertia block they can get gundged up if oil gets into the action, do you store the gun stock down and oil it after every use? darren 67
Are you keeping trigger held on first shot. Won't set second barrel if you are and have you tried swapping which barrel fires first to see if that makes any difference.
tricka
Tried swapping barrels and same outcome, looking like a trip to a different gunsmith Any recomendations round tyne and wear area?

SPARKIE
the bettinsoli inside is crudely machined and sometimes the **** up...ive known of 2 where they had left material on the inertia block and they both had the same issue... 1 was brand new 2nd used to fire both barrels too at same time. welshwarrior
First of all what cartridges are you using? If they are light loads try something over 28g. Try it both way around o/u then u/o. If this does not fix it, fire the first barrel take your hand full off the gun so you can't be hold in the trigger. Re grip the gun fire it again, insure utility still using the heavier loads. If this fixes it your at fault. If this and a heavier don't fix it it's time to see a smith not a gun shop. brett1985
had this on a lames o/u. removed the action from the stock and it was reasonably clean to look at. dropped it into an ultrasonic cleaner and you should have seen the crud that came out! re lubed and put back together, and guess what? worked perfectly. but as mentioned earlier, if you dont have a good idea of what your doing then a good gunsmith (not gunshop) is your best option. Underdog
Sounds pathetic that someone calls them selves a gun smith and can not diagnose a simple fault as this is! It is not rocket science! At least take the stock off and check both hammers are cocked! Then we can discuss further.... tricka
There are both cocked as a slap on the butt allows you to fire the 2nd shot
Underdog
right....so the mechanism or device that shuttles between the sears is sticking a little....maybe! Got an air line?

RossEM
I had this issue with my old gun - was using some old subsonic cartridges I'd been given, and as soon as I swapped to 1oz loads it cured the problem
Gunman
There has been a problem with the Betinsolli's normal cure is to replace hammers and sears . This has been done under warrantee depending on age and who imported it . Your gunsmith should have know this as it has been a common fault . Try John Foster on 01740 631110 near Sedgefield . gemini52
I have had three bettinsolis, its a common fault, the return springs for the firing pins are to strong, and as the main springs weaken over time it cant over ride the return spring, the gun smith replaced the return spring with a weaker one and it was fine, this happend to two guns i had so it could well be worth try.
