craigpigeonshooter
Finally managed to get what felt like a big bag! I shot 30 pigeons over a rape field that got harvested a week ago. Been to the field to check for birds but saw very few until Tuesday evening when I went to look and saw around 80 scattered over the field, so I decided to shoot it the next evening. Got up to the field after work at 5pm. I had set up by half five and shot the first pigeon a few minutes later. The birds carried on steadily decoying till I packed up at 8pm. Managed to shoot 30 but lost one in the brambles. I hope I have a few more days like this that brought so much satisfaction from days where I would shot 1 or 2 birds in a few hours. pigeon controller
Well done for sticking at it and getting a great result for a short session. You would get a larger bag if you shoot for a longer session but you must have your method right as it works. Be patient and you will get the bigger bags if you want. mel b3
thats a tidy bag by anyones standards , weve all spent our time looking up at an empty sky and the days when we drop a few are what makes it worth it.

Wilts#Dave
Lovely little bag to shoot in an evening. As already mentioned, you are missing out on the best of the sport in my opinion by starting so late. If you can, try getting there by 1 o clock and watch the bag size grow
