loriusgarrulus
Malmo guns had a Falco Italian 410 sxs,non ejector 3" in for £250. They had 2, but I bought one of them. Very plain no fancy engraving, double triggered breaks clays great so far. Haven,t had chance to take it out again yet, but pleased with it so far. It is still on there website its an ambidextrous one. Edited October 9, 2014 by loriusgarrulus
silver pigeon 3
My twins are 9 and shoot with a single .410, tried them with a double but just too much weight. Got to be careful as to what targets they shoot so not to destroy there confidence.
loriusgarrulus
The Falco weighs 5lb 4oz. OH has a single barrel bolt action 3 shot Norica that weighs 5lb 8oz. I did try a O/U 410 at Malmo as well. Sorry can't remember what make it was, but that was very front end heavy. Pattern plate is a good start as it doesn't move and you get a nice chunk of cardboard with lots of holes in to keep. Always nice to know how a new gun is patterning too, so very useful. bakerboy
If people know where you are you might get the offer of trying differing guns, this will help you choose the right gun for your son. If you are near to Stevenage, I have a couple of guns you could try. Terry Edited October 9, 2014 by bakerboy

alan barrett
Hi my lad started with a yildits(spelling) single only 3lbs ish smashed incoming floaters a treat. If you are near Bedford you could try it,he's bigger now and uses a 28 bore not cheap to feed but fits him and he has moved up to crossers and loves it.
