lee m
I am an experienced keeper looking for a small syndicate/ family shoot to help on. i am very experienced in rearing pheasants, grey and french partridges, and also mallard, this is not a scam to get free shooting as all my pest control methods are done the old school way by trapping, i would like a small shoot with good practices with regards to conservation and shooting ethics, i would be fully prepared to relocate anywhere if the right offer came along. i have 20 years experience and a very good knowledge and work ethos, but no large commercial shoots please. Mr pigeon
Hi lee, what size of shoot you looking at? Are you really prepared to do it unpaid? Fair play to you, you must be very passionate about it. Good luck!

Grandalf
I have keepered the same shoot for 23 years and never received a penny - Nor wanted it either. I do get to play with 1000 acres of prime Suffolk shooting ground as if it was my own park! If I want to shoot pigeons I shoot pigeons - If I need venison I shoot a deer - etc. We have six formal shoots a year and the rest of the year it is mine. Who wants money? kennett
Same here, just taken on the running of a new shoot for 4 friends. They provide the cash and guns, I do most of the work and sort out beaters etc. In return I get a mule to ride about on, any vermin shooting I want and a Cock day for my friends at the end of the year. No money changes hands and I love what I do

Mr pigeon
So do you want a a shoot that raises 100s or 10,000s? Most people on here would love someone knowledgable on their shoot, I for one. If you don't get any takers give me a shout!

KFC
I'm the same. Bit of diesel money, walk 1 stand 1 beginning and end of season. Probably a brace now and then and all the vermin control I can handle. I'd love to be paid a full time wage but sat in a wood, in the sunshine, all manner of wildlife up close. As has been said, it's a way of life and not everything we do has to rely on money. Good luck Lee.

Same. 1000 acres in Norfolk and for 10 years. We have 3 or 4 days. I can shoot what I want when I want. Shoot a red stag every year to help pay for Xmas, it's a way of life not a job. I work for a well known turkey farmer as a day job but the hours are flexible, start in the morning when I like more or less, then after work straight to the shoot to do what need doing. The family are good as gold and also have been to me. Best bit, the flight pond shooting is all mine, they are not interested on duck shooting.
