woodcock1
Had a rather frustrating day last Saturday in terms of my own performance. I was missing a lot and even when I did hit them was only wounding birds. I was using the same setup as always so I guess my mind just was'nt focused. It all came good in the end though with a nice pair.
ollie
Good video Ryan. Lovely woodcock ground you are shooting on there. We all have those days where the shooting isn't quite up to scratch, but you still had a good bag.
wildfowler.250
Nice R&L is that a gopro 3 you're using? I've got a gopro2 but the footage isnt quite that good in slow mo so guessing you've got a better one?

woodcock1
Wildfowler, mine is a go pro 3 black. I'm using gopro studio for editing and it has a feature for creating smooth slow motion. Takes longer to process but makes better viewing. Richie10
Is there any Woodcock left round your way, you seem to have the numbers there.

But I have to have the camera set to 720:60 to get a decent slow mo. Quite fancy getting the gopro 4 tbh. Keep the vids coming
SuperGoose75
You Sir' are a fine Woodcock Shooter. Does that R+L give you rights to the coveted Woodcock Club or Do Both birds have to be airborne at the same time' as I noticed the sound of your first shot' flushed the 2nd bird. I believe you also needed two witness's to vouch for your R+L..Surley that rule is changed nowadays as Video evidence would be all the proof that is needed. I like the way you respect your Quarry' even in death..neatly tucking bill under wing. Thats what I like to see. Great dogwork and shooting. woodcock1
Cheers supergoose, we are spoiled with some of the best woodcock shooting in the world here. Your quite right with regard to the right and left. I don't count it as such unless both birds are in the air at the same time. I don't know what the woodcock club rule is regarding that though. I would call this instance a double but not a R&L. I've been very fortunate to have had 5 R&L's in the last few years one of which was witnessed an got my place in the club. It's my hope to capture one on film soon.
SuperGoose75
Fair play to you Woodcock1..Its obvious you are a serious Woodcock shooter and I like the way you approach your sport. So i wish you luck with getting a R+L on Camera. Had a few chances over the yrs on A R=L at Cock but never succeeded. Had them on Geese,Ducks, snipe and pigeons. I once had a chance of a Cock pheasant and a woodcock that flushed simultaneously from some bracken and I missed both of them. Another shot that comes to mind' was when a Fox flushed from some cover..Ran into some bracken and Flushed a woodcock that I shot. look forward to your next video.
