spandit
Just won one on eBay. Hoping I haven't paid out a large amount of money for the privilege of removing a tonne of scrap metal from a local farmer! It was £700 and it's being delivered tomorrow
Luckyshot
Very cheap for a mule hope its not too bad a machine.

spandit
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/kawasaki-mule-/271674942196 Needs new headlights, but I have some spare spotlights I can use (I like automotive electrics). For some reason I can't get the owners manual off the Kawasaki website, which is annoying but should be a good shooting truck for my 10 acres! rimfire4969
That is a cheap mule, I am still after one but as normal they are all 200 miles away.
spandit
They do seem expensive for what they are - just hope they're as rugged and capable as I've been led to believe! Pretty wet, our fields and it's only 2WD but I'm sure I could sell it on for a profit after a bit of tarting up
scotslad
They are a really handy tool BUT in my opinion are too heavy for there tyres and too easy to overload with gear, making the first problem worse. If u get 1 stuck u will not lift/dig it out the way u can with a quad. Tyres not much bigger than a quads yet probably 3 or 4 times the wieght empty Depending wot ur doing and how often u are driving to the same areas/gates/feeders, but in wet ground u will quickly track and then rut the ground even running empty. For wet ground u are better with a quad or quad and trailer, tens tos sit on toop of the turf/sod far better not marking it. But like everything else horses for courses, depends on ur ground and wot u want to do with it
spandit
Thing is, with a quad I'd need a trailer too and they're only single seat. I'll see how it goes - looking forward to tensioning stock fencing with it and moving some logs that are too big for the wheelbarrow

stubby
I wanted something like this to use in our woodland, but didn't want something that was nickable, so opted for a sit on mower, at £150 it does a good good of hauling logs

spandit
Was it any good mate ? If that was directed at me, I don't know, because it hasn't turned up... Edit: he's coming at 9... that's my early night out of the window then! Edited November 27, 2014 by spandit
spandit
Well, finally got it last night at about 10! Drives OK, seller lives just up the road anyway and seems keen to help if I have any problems. Drove it round the paddock and it didn't get stuck, although think I've pushed some pretty deep ruts in
spandit
Why are there no mule parts in the UK? I need a new head gasket and I'm currently looking at ordering them from Holland! I need to get my mobile shooting bench mobile again!

spandit
Good I want to hear how well it gets stuck Haven't got really stuck yet, but in some of the boggy bits I've had to reverse out. As a glorified wheelbarrow it moved a couple of tonnes of logs yesterday and once it's fixed and not overheating any more, I've got a few tonnes of woodchip to move uphill for mulching trees I think i would off paid cash on collection so i made sure i had got the machine I paid cash on delivery!
