ShaggyRS6
Well this made me chuckle today. I was at the range with my son on Tuesday. We were sitting down waiting for our friends to arrive and a couple of guys came in. One fairly large gent sat down next to me and said hi. He then started to tell me that he was the Police Chief for a local town called Haledon and was here for a lesson. Now I found this odd at the time because I would have thought being able to shoot without the need for a lesson would be somewhat paramount for a police office. I did not say anything but me and my son had a chuckle when he walked off to get his lesson. Anyhoos. At lunch today for no reason whatsoever I thought I would look this guy up. What I found made me chuckle! http://www.northjersey.com/news/haledon-police-chief-suspended-after-failing-firearm-exam-1.1143394?page=all Edited December 5, 2014 by ShaggyRS6
Cranfield
I suspect its a bit like wondering how many of us that have been driving for donkey years would pass a driving test first time. At least its reassuring that they have examinations.

Richard756
At least he has admitted that there is something wrong and has taken a lesson or two to try and sort it.
four-wheel-drive
Stuart J. Alterman, Mercuro's attorney, claims his client was hampered by a knee ailment on the rounds that required Mercuro to kneel. Alterman said the chief has since rehabbed his knee and will argue he is fit to re-qualify. Why would he have to kneel to shoot do they have to pray for the bad guys before they can shoot them. ? ? ? I could not kneel or lie down to shoot as I have bad joints but standing I am a good shot seems mad to me. Scully
Can you take proper cover behind a car door while standing upright ? Despite what happens in Hollywood, no one can 'take proper cover behind a car door' regardless of whether they are standing, sitting or kneeling. Yes I know that but I bet you'd do it if that was all that was available

ShaggyRS6
It's all about layers though. They teach that in active shooter training. The more layers the slower the bullet. Better than standing behind a sheet of paper

Muddy Funker
Why would a police chief even need to pass a qual shoot? Don't they spend all day in an office.
