pegasus bridge
I've not, but have yet to meet a salmon angler who feels positvely about salmon living in a lake! I wouldn't mind a go- It's about £100 a day iirc?

Dunkield
Why not go to Scotland and fish for them in their natural environment? Looking at those prices it doubt it would cost you masses more. http://www.lochtayfishntrips.co.uk/index.php
johnphilip
why the hell would you want to stock a lake with salmon , well apart from taking peoples money. its so unnatural , not part of there life cycle at all.
Berettacocker
They're landlocked , not Atlantic Salmon unfortunately. Caught them at Aveley lakes in essex, and Hazelcopse in Surrey in early nineties. Not easy to catch, and don't fight particularly well either, sooner a 5lb+ over wintered reservoir trout any day! ferret47
You can fish the higher reaches of the Wear and Tyne (and a lot, A LOT) of Scottish rivers for a lot cheaper. Still water Salmon fishing is wrong!, they run the rivers to spawn and if they are lucky they make it back to sea. The magic is when you catch a fish (after thrashing the river trying every technique ) the fish is covered with sea lice, take your pic. then let it go. Thats Fishing! ack-ack
They tried lake salmon at Cottingham nr Deal in about 1990. Never took off. I find lake salmon everybit as odd as lake chub and barbel. What will we have next, whitewater tench?
fat_jay
I have had tench out of the white water at Lenwade Mill, great fun, also my first double figure Bream in the full of the flow! It made the Bream almost fun!

SNS
Years ago I fished a few times at Mere Beck near Southport - that had quite a few head of salmon stocked but I only ever caught trout there. They had built kind of small rivers between some of the lakes which had a bit of flow and I did get a nice brownie of 3lbs or so from one of them whilst having a lesson
