Scully
The detail on them is superb; first and last one look as if they've been painted onto Hilda Ogdens wall.

WinchesterDave
Excellent WD. I can not get to grips with my 1200. What did you set yours to for these shots please? U. thanks U! Well the sun being behind helps a lot with the colour. my set up was my 70-200mm f4 L lens. It was at 200mm, f4, iso was 400 I think (didn't need it higher because of sun) and I was shooting at 1/2000th. Auto focus was AI servo, and I had continuous on the drive mode. I kept changing my white balance but predominately had it on day light. My auto focus point was set to the centre I also swing smoothly with the bird (just like with shotgun) Hope this helps U? Keep at it:) atb WD Edited March 25, 2015 by WinchesterDave

WinchesterDave
Not a problem U. Yes, I was in fully manual. If you understand the concept of aperture, shutter speed and iso, and what they do, I would advise always shooting manual; gives you the best control and you're telling the camera what to do instead of the camera guessing what you want to do. poontang
Thanks WD. So were you in manual settings? I ask because I cannot centre focus in the auto settings. U. If you're having a problem setting your autofocus point this little vid should explain. It covers setting the focus point at about 1 minute in. Hope it helps. http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/2014/04/04/canon-eos-1200d-review/
GREENGRASS
A nice set Dave. Think about the rule of thirds and try to give some space for the bird to move into. Looks like your learning quickly. I like the last best for me personally. GG
