keg
I use a Ward D vision NV which is brilliant but am getting some reflection from my Nightmaster IR800 when on my rifles, It looks like it's coming off the moderator, will wrapping it in tape or putting a cover on it negate this. Thanks Keg
TIGHTCHOKE
If you use matt "sniper" tape or one of the neoprene covers it may help. Edited April 8, 2015 by TIGHTCHOKE
matone
Don`t know if it`s possible with your setup but I beat this problem with scope mounted lights by mounting further back to cast shadow on the mod.
Mitchiet123
does it almost completely white out the screen? this is what im getting when using a T20 or 38 that came with the yukon photon xt i bought? any ideas why? cheers, Mitch
FalconFN
Don`t know if it`s possible with your setup but I beat this problem with scope mounted lights by mounting further back to cast shadow on the mod.This. The alternative is cut a rectangle of card and tape it to the bottom of the torch so light doesn't spill onto the mod.
Redgum
A piece of black insulation tape across the bottom quarter of the scope objective should do it, if the rifle is rimmy with a bull barrel ( cz varmint ) then mount under barrel. Final suggestion is to mount night master on side of scope. I have tried all the mod coverings and never had much success. Ps have you got the Nightmaster on the tightest beam ? keg
Thanks everyone, mine can get a bit of white out. Looks like Neoprene for me, prefer rubber normally.....
Bewsher500
a black sock over the mod/barrel and/or tape the bottom of the scope and/or a shade on your IR source
keg
Thanks Bewsher, just ordered a scope cover and will try the Shade as well. It's a Nightmaster 800IR
Dekers
Sunshade/s on the scope!
cliveward
Sunshade/s on the scope! This is what we suggest with the NM800. The x-searcher head doesn't seem as bad for light spill and with the 2 batteries gives the best performance. Cheers
