sako751sg
Just had a bit of decorating done and fitted a wall bracket for a TV and the 42inch we have doesnt fit, blame the missus! Its getting on a wee bit so going to go for a new lighter one but the variety is mind boggling so any recommendations would be appreciated. Also,LCD or LED and is there much difference? Not looking for anything too fancy and have been looking at Panasonic TX-42A400B,Sony Bravia and a Samsung EH40H5000. Did see a thread from a couple of weeks back but everything seemed way too fancy and filled my heed with even more *****.
sako751sg
Also just noticed a good deal on a Samsung EU43J5600 Smart LED BOX. Anyone have first hand experience?
ShootingEgg
Go for LED, Id recommend LG or Samsung. Just mounted an LG 55' up on wall and it looks the nutz...
Twistedsanity
We just got a 42" led 4k TV from richer sounds for £500, excellent sound as well and easy to work out how to use
phaedra1106
Full HD Led, don't need 3D as there's not much of anything worth using it for unless you're a hard core gamer There are some good deals on 50", Toshiba, LG or Samsung, keep away from Bush, Hitachi and most of the less known brands (stores own etc.) as they are mostly made by Vestel in Turkey and not great. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2267803.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3687358.htm

Carman06
Be aware that a lot of the new Sony tvs are not Vesa mount compatible unless you buy an additional bracket for £40 from Sony. Personally I like samsungs.
Twistedsanity
I have a Samsung 3d, a toshiba and an lg , for clarity the Samsung is best, for functions of a smart TV and sound the lg is best, the toshiba isn't comparable to either of the others and resides in the spare room for my gaming
mickyh
Richer Sounds owner gives a chunk of his profits to one of the Anti lot. Not sure who - Anti cruel Sports League I think? I wouldn't spend my money there!

figgy
Bought a Sony Bravia 65" TV last week as the reduced it to just under grand. It was a pig to mount as it's the wedge shaped one and comes with different sized screw in lugs to even it out then mount to bracket. Because there is more length on some of the bolts more play so was hard to level up. Sorted now and with a dedicated football button on the remote the wife's happy.the not so old plasma has now been wall mounted in bedroom TV technology is developing so fast your better off waiting till new models are a year old and getting a deal as in a few years you'll want another. keg
Sony uses Samsung Panels but it's their own software that drives the panel.
secretagentmole
You lot realise that Richer Sounds are anti blood sports, I do believe they sponsor the same mob that Lush do!
