pin
I just bought one, similar but auto gearbox and less miles (93k) You sure it's miles not km's? I would advise having a browse of http://www.pocuk.com/forums/ They have a newbies bit which has buying guides and things to look out for, common faults etc. On that particular one they key thing will be when it had its belts done, I have only had mine a little under two weeks and I love it - get on the forum and have a read. Libertyandlivelihood
Pin - It is approx 120,000 miles ( I was being clever by converting it !! ) I shall look on the forum, thanks
al4x
At that price its a good deal, I hate to say this but also much better for being a manual, Main things to look for are obviously the engine and gearbox, if it drives well, has a long MOT etc then it sounds like a good deal. That mileage is a good mileage for the age and from the likes of Milner offroad the parts are pretty well priced, assuming its not had new ones its always worth changing the shocks and belts etc and other than that just use it and enjoy it. SNAKEBITE
Did you know that Pajero is Spanish for the "W" word that indicates self pleasure? (Had to word that carefully, already got one "pigeon watch ASBO!"

luckytrigger
My father in law has owned a LWB import pajero for three years doing a lot of miles and the only new parts he's had in that time are a battery, glow plugs and tyres. He really rates it and when i get around to changing my Vitara i will be buying a SWB one

Cranfield
My "gas guzzling" 4x4 3.0ltr turbo diesel Imported Surf, does 29 miles to the gallon and has a better emissions rating than most petrol family cars.
johnny
I would say for £1500 pounds that it would need to be mint I have a 92 swb 2.5td for sale for £800 it is not mint but has been well looked after and been really reliable for the 7 years I have had it. cheers john
Yorkshire Pudding
I run a LWB 2.5td auto . I love it ! But if your doing milage stay well away . she does between 16-18 to the gallon , but then again i drive her like a sports car at all times , on and off road . She does everything the last car i had ( disco) off road , the only difference being , i now don't have to change gear , sat in comfort and if it gets too warm i only have to push a button to cool down !! If you do decide to buy . MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CAM BELT AND CAM BELT TENSIONER REPLACED !!!! You'll regret it if you don't !!!!!! all the best yis yp
starlight32
I have a SWB shogun 96 on a P plate. Not too bad a motor, although for our business I think they are a bit too refined, as there are so many fancy bits that break off on the interior! I find the SWB a bit too small as an advisory for shooting as you are restricted on space, I am now gonna trade it in for a Nevara crew cab (Pre 2001 of course to avoid the new stealth taxing!!)
