Pigeons decoying over standing barley and wheat

Recommended Posts

I've moved off the peas now, on to cereals, and feel much better for it.

New video which features two sessions a few days apart.

The first was an hour or so at the end of an afternoon searching for somewhere promising, dodging showers and finally finding a few. Under a sitty tree next to some barley, the birds came in well for the short time I was there.

The second session was on some flattened wheat which I had watched a few times. The wind was strong, as you will see, and I had to set up on a margin without real cover. However, the pigeons decoyed well later on. The patch is small so i had to pick my shots, and lost a few in the standing crop and a few more on the overgrown margin and dyke.

Total for both sessions 43.

Again, music by the youngster.
