rabbiter
I went to a localish gunshop today, ive been there quiet a few times actually,on first name terms ive been in that often...I was asking him about part exing my mod for a dm80 for my .223,he said don't get one as the baffles inside move,as do the wildcats,i took this with a pinch of salt as he seems to be an atec and ase supplier, has anyone heard this before,or is it as I suspect a load of tosh? malmick
The baffles in my .22RF DM80 are machined into a solid billet of aluminium, no chance of movement there.
nicholiath
I have a DM 80 on my .22 hornet with no issues, very good mod as easy to strip and clean. I have a wildcat predator 8 on my 30.06 no issues.
drut
The baffles in my .22RF DM80 are machined into a solid billet of aluminium, no chance of movement there. Exactly as my .222 DM80! Definitely a well made moderator, would fit DM80's on my .22lrs but am too tight:Sak/Parker Hales work well enough for me with 22 subs. K Mac
He's talking bull they are from solid aluminium as malmick said good bits of kit solid easy to clean
malmick
I'm just wondering if some peeps don't take theirs apart to clean them? Plenty of **** in there, so worth looking.
nevb
Run one on the 17REM, solid baffles, best made mod I've had. Clean it after every use with hot soapy water. Its had plenty through it and its still like new...........

Dekers
I've not heard or experienced this with Dave Mercers offerings, and my 3 x P8 on different centrefires are all just fine!
malmick
I've heard nothing but praise. What's to go wrong?

malmick
Clean it after every use with hot soapy water. Will try that, I've been using stuff like Brunox, Legia, paraffin.
Alan Maughan
Start shopping somewhere else! Its impossible for baffles to move on a DM80, they are machined from a single piece of material. K Mac
Take Alan's advice. As we have all been sold stuff on bad advice from someone we thought new what they were talking about. Only to discover money is more valuable than loyalty to costumes now a days.
