chrisjpainter
Does anyone do this? I've just bought a new sit on kayak and have rigged it out for fishing. I had my first two fish today! A couple of pike, one about 3lb the other about 5lb. Not huge but off the mark I guess! It's a great way to fish and am looking forward to many more fish, hopefully with the odd sea session too. Highly recommended if anyone's thinking about it!
Stonepark
MALIBU XFACTOR for me, great for a paddle round Scottish lochs with fly rod or on sea for mackerel.

chrisjpainter
Ooh nice. Mine's a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120. It's a bit different to my old yak (white water play boat), but it's so much easier to paddle for prolonged periods! I'm not altogether competent with playing fish in it - a 5lb pike had me turning in circles, but I'm getting there
fandango
Mines a prowler 13 ocean kayak, had it for the last 5 or 6 years and love it for fishing off, it's only used on the sea. I have a two boats, one for potting, and a Alaska 500..the kayak gets more use than both the others,......... Love it
Penelope
Had a 13lb common tow three of us in a 10ft fibre glass row boat the length of a lake once. Ooh nice. 30-6
My oldest son does sea in one with mackerel feathers on a crab line. One thing he learnt is to time it for coming in with the tide, much easier to paddle. He also practises getting back into it from out of the water as a safety thing, he has been a lifeguard and is a strong swimmer, but safety rules. Oh,and watch out for nosy seals.lol. Google "Bristol channel kayak fishing", there is a guy on there from the minehead area, see what he pulls in.

Andra
Had the teksport angler model with the rod rests etc it was brilliant cant rem what model my mate had but it was a cool camo one with fish finder etc. Fished out at sea for mackerel, pollock, codling etc. Also on inland waters for trout, pike, perch etc sold mine when I moved to middle Scotland! Miss the fun though we used to put them in his camper and head for a couple of days eating the catch too
