chady
Does any one go into detailing when cleaning there motors? If so what do you use and your prossess etc?
BrowningB525
I was really into into it, but using my car for getting to and from shooting has scuppered that. I still wash using a mitt and 2 buckets, but don't spend hours doing it. I mainly use Autosmart products, but I use Soft99 Fusso wax. chady
Got a clay bar and some wax so I'll be spending some time doing that on the next wash. But has got a lot of swirl marks. But I will leave them for a bit and when I can get a DA polisher. Mungler
I like to use half a dozen Eastern Europeans. I find the results even just after 10 minutes most pleasing and all for a tenner.

Plus the cost of your alloy wheel refurb every few months. I am sure they use acid to clean alloys around here

chady
I'm not crazy but just like it clean and shiny. I'm going to just fill the swirl marks there not bad. And struggle to find the time to polish them out, but I might do things change. I used to own a car detailing company up until I sold to start an alloy wheel referb business but I still have my show car I enter into show and shine competitions. What effect are you going for just want it looking nice again or new ? Are you from Derbyshire by any chance? I got a couple of miner curb marks that needs sorting. Browning725:)
I still detail for a few of my richer clients and friends etc but the money in wheels is more steady all year as detailing is quite a seasonal job what with our fantastic winter ruining the chances for car shows etc

chady
Yes doing it once can count.... It depends on how much detail you go into lol Does washing the car by hand twice a year count as detailing? £5 in the midlands if it's a small car! With free swirl marks thrown in! £7.00 for that up ere in't north but as they get the rest as a tip.
