Alpha Mule
and buying an aqua lung and spear-gun.. This rain is a nightmare. Even when it stops the fields are waterlogged. Most of my permissions are on Welsh hillsides, so I really pity you lot who are on the flatlands. I'd either be standing in puddles, or squelching along the hedgerows. WelshMike
I feel your pain and have the muddy kit to confirm that you are not alone.
kenholland
even with the 4x4 I will only park inside the gate way just to wet underneath it's not worth the risk, just go lightweight .

Penelope
No, but it would make a serviceable boat. Will the wheel barrow double as an umbrella?

oowee
I went out yesterday in desperation as the sun came out. It was so muddy that the dog refused to walk / swim through the muddy pools . At one point he would not move and i was not going to pick him up so went in another direction, then it started raining again . Kit, landy and dog all in for a wash. Wellies are out for drying as I had water over the top. All for one pheasant.

clanchief
You're just gonna have to get used to it like the rest of us here in the west of Scotland, I have a 21 mile loch beside one of my shoots, that has got to get filled from somewhere. Its been so wet the last three years we never had cereal down on my main ground. On driving through the area of Cupar last week near Loch Leven the amount of wet bales left since last harvest was staggering to see.
