oozelumbird
Just dont use them, there dirty, poor patterns, 10 out of every 1000 will not fire. The wads have a habbit of jamming in the barrels. Just a waste of time. Fired 10000+ and hated everyone.

Just a waste of time. Fired 10000+ and hated everyone. How can the wad jam in the barrel with all that pressure behind it? I would imagine a jam like that would be very dangerous if you fired a second shell... IF that were possible? I have a load of D&J in the cupboard, I use them for squirrels and hand launched clays. (back in the day I actually had the chance to get ou twith the shotgun) never had a jam in 500 rounds I have fired, the muck cleans out, but does take a good scrub. Definetly not a quality cartridge, but its cheap, and does what I need it to, so no need to spend more.
beatingisbest
I usually use Gamebore Clear Pigeons, they are a good cartridge, clean burning and cheap, i pay £3.95 per box of 25 at the moment, which isnt too bad.
Gordon R
D and J plastic - okay. D and J felt wad - filthy. Would not have them as a gift.

mr smith
We use D+J carts when the have our informal clay shoots. There seems to a problem with misfires but these in our case anyway seem to be mostly related to pumps and semi auto's.Can't really say how good they are most of us ain't that good at hitting very much. humperdingle
Would never use D&J again... Dirty, and not worth saving a tenner... get lyalvale express HV for a tenner more per thousand.
Bigden
Cheap and nasty !! Bought a thousand and hated them. Never again

njc110381
I bought 250 fibre wad clay loads once. It took a couple of hours of shooting plas wads to get the muck out of the barrel. I spent 30 mins with a bronze brush before that trying to move the fouling, and nothing changed! Gamebore Clear Pigeon are very good, and not that expensive. I'd give them a try. That's what I use now along with Eley Hi Flyer
fieldwanderer
Anyone else use Bornaghi cartridges? Me and two friends bought 1000 between us to get them cheaper (30g 6s). I've got two boxes left - free to a good home! They're bloody useless!! I've been using rotweil cart's lately (30g 6.5s) they're pretty good (and a good price), so were the Eley hb pigeon (32g 6s) I got free with my gun, shame they didn't last longer

08shooter
i have used d and j s on many occasion with no probs if you are on target they will do the same job.im a budget shooter and normally buy the cheapest.i think shell prices are going up to try and hit shooters in the pocket.granted the shells may not be as clean as others but i will use them if and when i buy them again.me thinks if everyone buys the cheapest the dearer brands will have to adjust their prices if they are nt selling. A few of my mates have nicknamed them ben & jerry's cartridges beceause of the fact that they seem like they have been made in an ice cream factory? as they are so naff, DONT ASK ME! i don't know either lol buy eley olympic trap, there just as cheap but pattern better and are much much cleaner
