Underdog Posted January 25, 2016 Report Share Posted January 25, 2016 It's been awhile shooting in the lamp for me, usually I lamp but Youngratter offered to lamp for a fox as some were hanging around the farm where we shoot rats. One dodged us, probably winded us but a vixen was screaming the other side of the farm so we made our way there. Nothing to see so I did some calling and in came a vixen, a heavy vixen at that! It was not a good shot, I felt quite rusty aiming this light rifle and although I decked it with the first shot quick follow ups were needed, it was soon over. Around 50yds. Youngratter got a single rat tonight! Usually we get several. We cant decide if it is the yard foxes or we have shot them all! Cheers Youngratter. U.
