Harry136
Hi, I have a Browning Maxus Grade 3 and want to adjust the cast more. It is currently hitting about 6 inch to the left on a pattern plate and i've used all the shims which don't affect the drop. Is there any way of adjusting the cast without buying another set of shims ( thats if you can buy them!)?
point and shoot
have you checked your gun mount and eye alignment with the rib? Les
Harry136
Gun mount and eye alignment are spot on, I have quite a broad frame, 23 in from shoulder to shoulder, so it just needs to come over
fenboy
Underdog would just bend the barrel slightly right
wymberley
You can buy them individually about £7 a shot - but as your RFD will more than likely have to order them, the ****** postage is almost as much!
Harry136
Where can I buy them from?
johnphilip
You say 6 inch to left, but at what distance from plate. Have you tried 16 yards from plate. At that distance i think for every inch of target the stock need moving 1/6 th of inch.

B25Modelman
Can't you just move the pattern plate over 6"
Harry136
Ive just bought a thick bit of perspex from ebay, so hopefully I can make a large shim in order to give me enough adjustment.
Saltings
Where can I buy them from? I would not worry about shims and adjust the stock shoulders with a sharp chisel and file to get it to where you need it, or remove what material you need and use one shim to get it to fit easy to do
allanm
If your a cheap skate like me just cut up an old bank card and put it on top of shim on the left hand side looking from top (if your right handed ) ,I done this on my old xtrema If you want a neater job once you find how much cast you need a gunsmith will make you a shim To the thickness you need
old man
Fiddling with my old gate post basher in the same way at present, was looking down the LHS of the rib. Solution? remove the old 12mm spacer, pinch a plastic cutting board from the kitchen and cut and shape it to fit between stock and pad but with the holes drilled 1/4" over to the left. Now looking straight down the middle so just need to test then will make a proper job with a spacer from Avalon guns. Simples! I hope?
