Is it good to go around 6.30pm/7pm as soon it gets dark?

remmy1100
after 12 usually best around 1 am ,foxes will be out and hunting on dusk putting rabbits to ground then if your near built up area youve got dog walkers straying all over place ,traffic ect things really quieten down late on,moonlite nights are also poor for rabbits around these parts . As previously said earlier the fox's are out so they tend to stay down the holes
TONY R
Rabbits after rain is a good old saying and if the sun comes out a little can be good.
Tremo
After midnight. The darker the night the better. . Moonlit nights make it difficult.

kent
First and last light through late spring and summer. Once the nights draw in early back to lamps etc. Lamping in summer for rabbits is imo mainly covering over poor fieldcraft

kenj
In winter, when they aren't milky. I was shooting milky does right through winter. It was wet and mild. That's why I'm on catch-up now on my perms. This was my latest this week. http://www.urbanfieldsportsman.com/index.php/rabbit-hunting-with-shooting-sticks-and-the-magtech-7022/

arjimlad
I like dusk or dawn, but when shooting at dusk there seems to be a time when they all go home for a power nap before emerging again when it is properly dark and the lamp is required. adi786
thought if there are like probably 10 rabbits on a perm, if you shoot all of them, u wont find any rabbit to shoot in future? Unless some new one comes from neighboring land... just a question
pigeonblasterian
I have never shot every rabbit i see on a perm. The thing is i try to keep them down to an acceptable level while still preserving yourself some shooting for the future.
