harrycatcat1
I have been using a HP photosmart M547 to take pictures and videos but its given up the ghost and decided that it doesn't want to work any more. Its been a good cheap camera it had a zoom, took pictures and videos, can you recommend anything like it to replace it please. It was 6.2 megapixels. Oh and mine had two AA batteries in so that I carried two spares just in case they ran out, not a rechargable one. I have done a search on fleabay but there are millions, I am not really into cameras, dont know a deal about um but just want to replace my old one. Thanks for looking. Regards H ps I have a camera and video on my phone but its not just the same.
Lord Geordie
The Panasonic lumix are quite good, as are the canon ixus, I have had a few of the fuji range and think they are ok too,

lord_seagrave
+1 for Ixus When I was looking for one, that was the one I concluded did everything I wanted it to and nothing I didn't. Did it well and was simple to use. LS Edited May 29, 2016 by lord_seagrave
FalconFN
Start by narrowing down the millions of cameras into the top brands for that type of camera so Panasonic, Sony, fujifilm, Olympus, Nikon and Canon are probably the top makes. Then pick one you like the look of, make sure it's relatively newly releasrd and quickly check the online reviews to see if others are happy with it. Good luck

Chris Bb
Why, oh why, don't they make cameras with viewfinders any more? I hate those rear screens, you can't see them in sunlight and it's not natural holding a camera at arm's length attempting to frame a picture. I'd willingly pay more or even go without the rear screen.

Most Compact camera are for the smartphone generation that have never used one. Edited May 30, 2016 by Fuji Shooter

It's pocket sized (and priced) EDC cameras I was wishing for. I have a great little Fuji but it does lack the viewfinder. I'll probably get a Nikon P90 although I think that's much larger than I really want. Now, how do I explain yet another camera to SWMBO? You can pick them up for £150 on ebay.
