bunny_blaster
On Sunday afternoon I'd planned on shooting some crows on the cut silage fields. After a couple of hours of searching I'd hardly seen a crow so my attention turned to a friends farm who had recently drilled 4 fields with a grass and clover mix. I'd noticed pigeons feeding on the newly sprouted shoots most evening during the week. Due to nearby horses I swapped the 12g for my Hushpower .410 and the 20 shells I had left for it. I had no real birds so started with 15 shells. There weren't a lot of birds about but what did come to the field decoyed nicely. After a couple of hours I'd ran out of cartridges and for my 20 shells id shot 16 pigeons and picked 14. One of the unlucky pigeons fell to a 9 gram #6 which was surprising. I checked the fields again tonight to find about 50-60 birds feeding so I will be heading back there at the weekend. Cheers Ben

aga man
A nice return for just 20 shells. Very rewarding to shoot pigeons with the 410 i find. Well shot.
yickdaz
satisfying bag with the husher, I noticed you raised the stock with a bit of card and tape I have done the same with mine, never understand why they make stocks so low in the comb on hushpowers because you need the extra height to bring your eye line up to suit the silencer
Cranfield
Thats a very good shot/kill ratio and I also noticed the adjustment on the comb, great idea.

A nice return for just 20 shells. Very rewarding to shoot pigeons with the 410 i find. Well shot. The .410 is my favourite gauge to shoot. I will be in the market for a O/U soon ready for the coming game season
pigeon controller
Well done Ben, as already stated a brilliant result starting with no decoys. it's amazing how the crows just move on after the cut to the fresh fields , but it's the amount of insects etc that are exposed I guess. Bluebarrels
Just made a comb raiser myself for my Husher might need to play around and trim here and there, but will see how I get on first. This is what I used cost me a quid If it works great, otherwise a quid wasted think I can live with that,BB Edited June 2, 2016 by Bluebarrels
